Isn't he the fellow who created the Mentor's Ring?

Lord Brinne has been in many games...

First off, there IS a quest for Llandro Arnandro (sp?)'s skull. So keep ahold of it.

Next, Lord Brinne was the online name of a very prolific and popular real-life messageboard poster. He spend years on early Might and Magic boards, and on the (Ultima) Horizons Tavern. After his death, there has been a long series of games from different companies that put verious graves, shrines, and tributes to him, most often because programmers on the game liked him, and were parts of some of those boards. Games that include tributes: Ultima IX, Morrowind, Might and Magic VIII, and a few others that escape me at the moment.

Anyway, there's no quest involved, just a reference to an old friend.

:^)

Good now that I know that I can stop carrying them around and spread them to the winds.

Hmm, I guessed wrong then. But its not uncommon for games to include the names or nicknames of the designers in obscure places, I've found several things for which I suspect that's the only function.
