sword question

is the damage bonus done by the master sword determined by strength or dexterity? I know that dexterity determines whether you can use it or not, but I was wondering if strength determines the damage bonus.

If it uses dexterity, then the critical hit is determined by the excess of dexterity.

The weapon skill determines if a critical hit is made. If so the Str is added.

But, the weapon uses dexterity... Don't tell me the developers intended it this way.

There are actually 3 dex based swords in the game : sword , rapier , master sword.I think the developers intended it this way

I am aware of that. My astonishment was about the fact that, even though they require dexterity to be carried, they use strength to aflict critical hits.
That seems like a mistake to me...

I have to chime in with HW on this ... it does not seem logical. *shrugs* Oh well, it is still a ton of fun to play!

This is corrected in the add-on. My mage currently uses a Masterīs Rapier with 120 damage. Requirement is 60 dex. Iīm pretty sure the dex is added on a critical hit.
