Well, did you read Journal Chapter 6 ??

KaiRo said clearly that they were developing the German addon. A GOLD version (original + addon) is also planned as well. I don't think there're anymore disclosed info about the add-on.

I really hope that there'll still be English subtitles for the addon if G2 English is really cancelled.

Amazon.com has listed Gothic II release date Sept 1, 2003. I preordered from gogamer.com and they have August 2003. This puppy ain't dead yet! I can name a dozen games that I waited forever to get only to receive a crappy game that wasn't worth it (rememer Star Trek Academy? Battlecruser?). But this game is so awesome people are buying th German version even though they don't understand it! I think it'll be worth waiting for. The developer should start asking questions...change distributors. Things like this happen. But people lose interest even with a game like this one. It's a pattern. But I believe this will finally be released. The addon and Gothic III is probably a good bet too. Things have a way of working themselves out.

Yea, Amazon.com relists Gothic 2... I don't know why they did that--do they want more angry customers?

BTW, I really hope PB will choose their publisher more wisely next time (G2-addon and G3). Both G1 and G2 are good games, but they screw up only because of publisher problems. That's kind of sad...

I would like to know where you got that. From all accounts of what I read PB is a stand alone company....but if you can prove your statement show us.

PB 'belonged' to Phenomedia who went bankrupt. JoWooD jumped in to pick up the pieces, i.e. bought Gothic II (but not PB).
