What about describe your expiriences that you mentioned in last post in new "spoiler marked" topic? It could be interesting .

Edit: it is not longer last post, because you was able to write one more post while I was writing this one .

Danicek: Character choises is a matter of opinions and taste, and not really some kind of in-game hints.

BTW, I like the "sticky" poster.

I mean this part of your message:

I found out that there is some, lets say story evolvment, to make by talking to all the NPC's at that point with the correct "topics", and to escalate a meeting with the other tribes at Ascension peek. Ups, got of the subject, (don't want to spoil anything).

Aaahh, but they are main-quest related, not just game-hints. The sticky post clearly say: "Not quest related".

BTW, it's no bigger deal, just use the most obvious "topic-words" in the conversations with the NPC's at this late point of the game, and some of them will reveal some small surprises.

One thing I will say: If you havn't tried it yet. Bring "Vi domina" to "Ascension peek" and meet her father and..........!!!!!!

A Bishop is useful because he can learn all
of the needed spells in the game:

Priest)
Soul Shield + Armorplate
Heal / Heal All : Divinity
+ all cure conditions

Mage)
Element Shield + Missile Shield

Then I would choose direct damage or
damage over time:

Mage for IceBall, Boiling Blood(?)
Fireball, Nuke

Alchemist for Clouds and Crush
Earthquake, Quicksand

+ A bishop is nice for my party:

Fighter
Lord
Samurai

Bard
Gadeteer
*Spell-caster* Bishop

Flanking are usually Vi and NAS

This is a subject ive answered numerous times on several boards i visit.

Bishops are great characters. (IMO one of the best). But that is my opinion because i spend time working on my characters.

If you just want to play the game, enjoy it etc without spending some time working on your magic then i would seriously suggest a priest or other caster type for whatever magic you want. If you plan to spend some time working on your characters magic skill then i seriously suggest a bishop.

If you spent enough time & knew what you were doing you could have a bishop at 100skill in Wizardry, Divinity, Psionic, Alchemy, Water, Earth, Mental & Divine by the time you start to clear your way through Arnika.

Bishops do require more exp p/level than the pure casters do but that is a sligh downside really & nothing to even consider as all "hybrids (ranger, lord, valk, samurai, ninja, etc) all have the same exp requirement as the Bishop.

If a bishop is spent time being worked with then its power will far overshadow anything that a pure caster can offer in power in the long run. The other bonus to this matter is because of the 4main realms a bishop can work in they will often have 2x & even 3x the mana pool p/realm than a pure caster will ever have.

Anyways if you plan to spend time working on your casters skill then i highly suggest a bishop or even 2 to make it interesting. if you dont plan to spend time then i highly suggest you go with the pure caster types.

Since I just started running a bishop for the first time (in my second party), I figured I'd now throw my 2 cents in on the character:
I have chosen a bizarre, fighting oriented party with 4 hybrid fighters (samurai, ninja, monk & valkyrie) complemented by a gadgeteer and a bishop. Since my characters haven't made it to level 5 yet, the bishop is my only spell caster right now. Not a smart move for someone playing it the first time through, as you can't specialize him fast enough to get good magical stats which you want. (Since it's my second time through, I'm surviving so far. You need the fighting tactics that you don't learn for a while.) While I can see the bishop becoming powerful later, I'm longing for my missing priest. I might even settle for an alchemist or psionic. Seriously, I would only recommend running a bishop only if you have some other pure spellcaster to pull the weight early in the game.
One corrollary I expect is that once my fighter-hybrids hit level 5, they will have to do some serious spell casting to make up for the lack of pure casters.

I used two Bishops the second time I played the game. First time used basic Mage and Priest but found they gained very little after about level 20. The two-bishop line up worked well, both developing Mage and Priest skills while my hobbit Bishop also developed his Psionics while my elf Bishop worked on her Alchemy.

They became much more powerful than the more specialised magic-users and maintained my interest in developing them much further into the game.
