Hide Vampirism with Mask/Helm mod. |
|
I'm thinking about creating a mod that hides your vamprism with mask/helm that covers your face, helms that shows your face doesn't work. While wearing a mask like that, all your powers will be removed(since once you use it people can tell your a vampire) And this doesn't work on important NPCs(determined by the NPC's reputation) This mod is just to add a little more fun factor to being a vampire without unbalancing the game, since many people hate not being able to talk to anyone. I haven't done much yet, still messing around with the script. Any suggestions? |

Removing the powers is too easy and problematic. Can't you just have it so that when you use your powers, you're discovered? Similar to how crime works, the people in the area would know, but no one else would.
If you make it so your powers are removed when wearing a helm. you're pretty much forcing vampires not to wear a full helm. |

Thanks for pointing that out. About forcing Vampires to not wear a full helm, I guess thats the way it'll be. Unable to wear a face-covering Helm VS unable to talk to anyone, its a good tradeoff. Right now I can do this. When player wear a face-covering helm, every guilds' disposition toward the vampire guilds will be set to 0, same as House Telvanni, so they'll talk to you. You get to keep all your vampire abilities, but when you enter a fight, there will be a 50 percent chance that your helm will be tear off(destroyed or drop on the ground) and when that happens the guild dispositions will return to normal. Sounds good? |

You also need to change the greetings in the dialogue database, since most npcs will attack or run away when you try to talk to them. |
