I suppose not, as it's using the similar engine.. Unless they change something in this last moment for the english version, but I doubt it.. |

mmmmm i have all but the speed of the processor, but i think 512 ram and NV25 will do the rest (k7 700mhz)'
PD why u need DirectX8.1 if the engine is the same as it was in Gothic???

My system is almost exactly the recommended reqz.
800 mhz Pentium 3
512 mb RAM
GeForce 4 MX w 64mb
I guess I lucked out, since I dont get my MONSTER MACHINE until September of 2003 !!! The monster machine will have 1.5 gigs RAM, Pentium 4 at 3000 mhz, 200 gigs hard-drive space, with a GeForce FX card... w00t i cant wait, PHOTO-REALISM, HERE WE COME !!! |

They nearly always release on the latest DirectX version so they have the best
performance and stability. Then you always need the directX version they released on or better. Nothing to do with the extra features. Note you can't download old versions from MS either.
I want to know what the performance will be like on my mixed up system - it's only a p3 866, but I've got 512 mb ram and a gf3 - most games I play aren't CPU limiting so it's been a great system. I'm worried about AI routines with lots of NPCs running around though. |

Well, as I posted in another thread, at medium settings, 160% viewing distance, 800x600x32, the demo runs very well on my old P3 600 w/ 256MB PC133 and G400MAX video card (on Win2K). The water looks ridiculous, but besides that it runs just like G1 and looks a lot better. |

Anyway the RAM is cheap.
I don't know for the full version, but for the demo I just have a PIII 450 320 Mb GeForce 2 MX 400 and the game is nice and runs without any problem. But I must admit I didn't change the default resolution for my system: 800x600... |

This requirements were reason why I upgraded to GForce 4 Ti 4200. Now I hope it will run good. |
