ok...i have a question and try to hang with me here. ...on the way to cavalorn's from the old camp, there's a road that quickly branches off right before you reach cav's hut. ...this road, as most of you know passes by 3 snappers, a lizard, a lurker, and then 2 orc warriors gaurding what looks to be an arena. ...ok so here's my question, past the arena, in a carved out hole in the rocks (you can't miss it, it's huge) there's a big circular hole in the ground that isnt' deep at all and it has a pillar going through the middle of it. ...(it's octagon shaped) and it has potions at ever point of the octagon except for one. ...there are also chests in here too. ...is there a trick in here somewhere to lower a staircase or something like there is for the Chromanin quest? ...This is my 3rd time playing and i never can figure it out if it is in fact anything at all. ...thanks and P.S. ...sorry you had to read so much.

Just use it as a chill out spot or as what it is an arena. Organize fights and have an audience would be loads of fun.
