I noticed the 3d sound effects do the real lagging on my machine.

Those ancestral creamatoriums and those canalworks are proof of that.

Where is the driver?

Wherever you have the directory of downloaded files. It is a cab file. By dbl clicking on the cab there are the drivers inside. I tried it but the drivers didn't recognise my Geforce 3 ti200. I could only see a laptop video driver in it. What crap.
All is well here. MW seems to be smoother now since I updated my ASUS M/B bios to AE1007 and the AGP Aperture size to 256Mb. COOOOL.

The_Elder, as some other people above allready suggested you should do, please do yourself a favor and forget about MS Updates. Go to www.nvidia.com, follow the links to download drivers for Win 2000/XP, and download the 28.32 drivers. It's a simple .exe file that you just need to double click on to install, very simple.

And believe us, this will yeild FAR better performance that the windows drivers. Without creating any problems, by the way.

As for leaked drivers, I think he should just start with the official ones from Nvidia first, and then after a while when he gets more comfortable at getting good video drivers he could use the leaked ones if he so wishes. I've had a few bad experiences with leaked drivers myself. Sometimes they are not tweaked all the way, if you are testing for Nvidia, you must know that. If they were, they wouldn't be "leaked" drivers, even if they are purposefully leaked from Nvidia
