Yes, there are some beds in the house oppesit to the building Garond is in. I you've played Gothic I, it's the former guard quarters.  |

You will find another bed in the iceregion.I think it bellonged to the Rice Lord
But I wonder:where do the diggers sleep?

There's another one in an orc tent near the river, across from the old mine. I think there's one in Cavalorn's old hut also.

And yet there is another bed I found in Xardas' old tower - though you have to deal with a deamon first before you'll be able to use it.

Yes, I played Gothic 1, but I didn't recognize the area. But now that you've said it, the castle is familiar. Will there be a map of this area available in this game too?

When you speak to Garond about your quest, you'll get a VoM map.
