Lineage 2: Screenshot @ Lineage II Warcry

Thanks to Ophelea from Warcry again for letting us know that there is a single new <a href="http://lineage.warcry.com/scripts/images/view_image.phtml?id=6338&site=10" target="_blank">screenshot</a> from NC Soft's MMORPG 'Lineage II' at Lineage II Warcry.

That screenshot reminds me of AC when someone would grab a lugian hammer.

Call me lazy for not looking it up... but is this game going to be something seriously competing with EQ2 or WoW? Will it come out sooner?

The game was launched in Korea on October 1 and managed to attract 130,000 subscribers within the first five days . Public beta testing in North America is supposed to begin "before the end of 2003" according to the FAQ at the official site.
Not sure if NC Soft is planning on seriously competing with EQ II or WoW. I don't think they have to. The original Lineage used to be (or still is?) the most popular MMORPG worldwide because it can be played from online cafes in Korea (which seem to be one of the top choices when it comes to spare time activities in Korea) and Lineage II doesn't seem to be doing too bad either. Regarding the graphics, they are surely not trying to compete with the above. Lineage II is based on the (rather dated) Unreal engine.
