hi, i've almost finished gothic now, and i got some questions:
1. looting the ice golem (xardas' tower), i found 2 things, a piece and a heart of an ice golem, i know that the heart is used to convince the devil in xardas' tower, but what about the piece? when i tried to use it, it says that i'm short of 370 mana to use that thing (my mana is 130 at that time)... is there anyone who knows?
2. what are these books used for?
-true power
-the battle of varant
-recipes
-myrtana's poetry
-a powerful art
-words of the gods
-the art of fighting
-hunt and prey
-a gift from the gods
-the secrets of magic
-elementary arcanum
-magic ore
-astronomy

1. i've been told that its a fancy and expensive form of a weak ice spell. i sold it.
2. well they tell cool stories, and are kinda fun to look at. some of em are worth a hundred ore. thats about all u can do with em.

Very rarely books can also add some skills to your character. I think that books about bloodflyes adds ability to extract one more part of their body.
Other books just describe something, but some of them are very useful. F. e. you will learn that only if you have razor in your inventory, you can extract important pieces of dead animals body and without this knowledge you will not be able to finish important quests (ULU-MULU f. e.). |
