Age of Mourning: Beta Signups and Guild Information @ Offici

The latest Age of Mourning CEO Update announces a new section of the site dedicated to guilds, where established guilds migrating from other games can apply for their own forum sections and "guild space." Also, beta signups have begun. Yes, I know the game already went into production last year... just humor me, okay?

The relaunch is going according to plan. I have gotten a ton of valuable feedback from many of you, and we are incorporating as many of your ideas as possible into the game. I tried to answer each and every one of you that submitted your ideas. If for some reason I didn’t respond, please resend your email as it may not have reached me.

The Age of Mourning website is currently undergoing a face lift. Some areas may be incomplete. Our forums are still up and functional here. Thanks for your patience!

I visited the new website and it looks standard. Can you please explain?

It is a shame this game has a stigma attached to it. Developers should not go public with hype until they are certain they can see a ptoject through to completion.

Might and Magic 3 just appeared on a store shelf in 1991. Gamers had no idea who Jon Van Caneghem was or what New World Computing staff ate at break time. Everyone thinks early and frequent exposure is good for their game but it can have the opposite effect a-la Mourning.

They had changed their URL from the one in our database. The old one lapsed to one of those domain parking things with a bunch of porn links. I fixed it when I saw the first post yesterday, so nothing to see anymore.

Doesn't look too bad. Kinda like the thought that it is heavily geared towards roleplaying. But I'm very sceptical that it will actually be much different than other mmorpgs... they all say that and then when the game goes live you realize it's the same old treadmill. Might have something to do with the fact that the old concept of gathering stuff and leveling up isn't that bad per se.
