No cast on strike option when enchanting weapons?
   

I have had great luck in making standard items have an effect like say casting a fireball from a ring without a problem, however when I goto enchant any weapon with fire, cold, poison or any other effect I do not get the 'STRIKE' option listed in the choices.

I have a wide range of soul gems from 100 - 60000 in value so its not the gem types, and I have the basic spells like spark, fireball, etc... So can someone tell me how to enchant weapons with the strike effect? because as of right now I can enchant them to shoot out fireballs no problem at all but cannot get a simple weapon to proc an effect on a swing...

In the lower left hand cornor of the enchant window there is a little button which says "Cast when used", click it. Make sure that you have already chosen the weapon you wish to enchant.
