Well... the politics has begun

Character is a Khajit Thief. Belongs to Thieves, Fighters and Mages guild. Completed all Balmora Thief and Mage quests and working towards finishing the Fighter's quest. But I guess that is not going to happen for an amazingly interesting reason:

Internal conflict within myself.

The Fighter's Guild has just asked me to get a codebook from one of the members of the Thieve's Guild. When I go to the South Wall to question the character with the codebook, she tells me to get my priorities, and my alligiences, in order. She says the Fighter's Guild is a tool used by the Camonna Tong and most of what I have heard and read would seem to lean in that direction.

I stood there for two or three minutes trying to decide what my best course of action was. I could pickpocket the book from her and deliver it into the hands of the Fighter's guild. They would never know and I would be able to move forward with the Fighter's Guild and gain jobs and money as a result. Or I could maintain my honor and not complete the quest for the Fighter's Guild. Of course, there was also the little problem of my character not liking to steal from a woman. I was seriously torn.

It was decided for me when I talked to her again and she extolled my virtues and our friendship.

I guess there is honor among thieves... occassionally.

This game is bloody incredible.

I applaud you : ) but maybe you can see where I'm coming from...
I made my character as a thief ( with a few other skills thrown in for good measure)

As many thieves did I joined the thiefs guild in Balmora. Because I was a thief.
I joined the mage guild for the quick cheep transportation and their training in mage stuff then i joined Hlaalu. why to get inside their building greeted with a smile their training and to have free run of the place : )
what 'I' heard when i joined is "don't get caught.........'
my first responsibility is to myself my character
2nd is to the thieves guild
and 3rd.......................... well there is no third : )

my next character will be a chivalric Knight with slightly different view on things

Zaal, if you actually get the codebook and deliver it to the Fighter's Guild, then continue the Fighters Guild and Thieves Guild quests simultaneously - it gets even more entertaining, especially towards the end. That's when the super tough choices really come to the forefront.

@Zaal

LOL, same thing here. I don't fancy stealing from fellow thieves. Tried charming/commanding Sottilde (?), but it didn't work.

BUT - didn't Gaius Cossades say that Eris is the new Fighter Guild steward and that he doesn't know her well? Instead, he knows and trusts the steward of the Ald'ruhn guild.

Perhaps it's time to visit another guild chapter and let Eris have her private war, controlled by the Camona Thong (I'm not going to be a lackey of the Thong guys!)
