I'd even go a stage below that, Xen. For me the Heavy shadow armor was enough to take snappers easily and I never got very good at sword fighting! I never wore the Shadow's dress, so I don't know about that, but even it might have been enough. It is significantly better than Digger's pants.

There's only 5 points of armor between heavy shadow and light guard. I was counting them as the same armor (I guess you can get the heavy shadow at level 7 or .

I have 50 points of armor in my digger pants now with two rings of greater invincibility and an amulet of stoneskin.

You know, it's kinda funny to realize that you can get your armor points thathigh only wearing Digger's Pants!

Against guys like orcs or templars who kill me in one combo with 50 points of armor just as easily as with 15 I tend to just load up on items that add to +40 strength. After all, that's an extra 40 damage per hit. If I get my combo in before they get theirs...

Multiple orcs = instadeath.

"unless you're wearing digger armor... they can hit you a lot but not harm you much. Light guard armor will give you enough of an edge to beat your first snappers without much difficulty. Medium and heavy armors completely negate them."

Here I must disagree. I remember running around the wilderness after finally getting Ore Armor, believing I would be just about invincible, and proceeded to charge a pack of razors. Well I killed them all alright (w/ charged Uzriel), but not before they had managed to cut my health bar in half.

Even before I got the Ore Armor, I remember a similar encounter with a pack of snappers while wearing heavy merc armor, and they definitely dealt me some damage before going down.

So from my experience, medium and even heavy armors do not at all negate the attack of these creatures.

Digger's Quest has been updated with episodes 14 to 24... covering up to about to leave for the Orc Village.

Features include a rematch with a troll, fun with firelizards, a shot of the character sheet for The Digging One, how a digger kills a Shadowbeast, and more (as well as, of course, the sarcastic picture mouseover comments and running commentary).

That was great! I can't wait for the final chapters. By the way, the Digging One does look styling with his minecrawler armor and Ulu-Mulu.

Let's see.. Orc Town One... Temple... Four Shaman... Uriziel... Orc Town Two... Fifth Shaman... Mass Melee... Sleeper.

I doubt I'll go on the quest to get the ore armor or go to the old camp... frankly, I don't see any way of surviving the 'welcoming committe' in the mage hall...

I honestly doubt I'll be able to beat the game if for no other reason than the last mass combat. Sure, they can't hurt you in ore armor... just wade through them... but in Digger? There will be no Gorn to save me this time... it will be like the entrance to new mine all over again.

But I'm going to try.

Too fun! I love the way you beat the Shadowbeast.

Doh! I guess that's what I get for finishing up and doing the linking at 4:30 am after being up since 7 am the previous day!

Links are fixed now.

Freedom Force has consumed me... but I WILL finish Digger's Quest. IF it's possible, that is. That temple is really, really, really going to suck.
