What to do with my extra skill points?

I'm level 21 warrior.

I have mastered 1h and 2h weapons and I have maxed out my skill in strength. I also have just enough dex to use my bow.

Are the rest of my skill points just for any old thing I choose to goof around with or should I be saving for something important later?

You will be fine. As for other things to put points into, I found that Acrobatics can be moderately useful in a couple places.

Acrobatics is fun, but get that dex up too.

Hi Jenny, welcome to the forums!

If you do put your points into acrobatics be aware that it's a trade off. Acrobatics will allow you to jump over larger gaps and fall from greater heights but it does this at the cost of climbing ability. Some places that you were once able to leapfrog climb to will become inaccessible since you can't turn off acrobatics once you learn it. Acro does give you some cool new animations though!

Don't use your points on pickpocket... you can't use it on named NPCs and you can't steal any equipped items from the rest. It's generally a pretty useless skill.

I think dex is the best choice also. The bow is a great weapon in Gothic once your dexterity is high enough.

Crossbow skills can be a good choice too, crossbows do more damage then regular bows.

i'd start training in bows, they can be very useful. Warrior/Ranger combinations are also good characters.

Well... you heard them! All good advice.

And no, there isn't really anything you want to be saving a whole lot of skill points for... unless you want to be a circle 6 mage and you're not a member of the Sect camp.
