No it does not. But you do need to create the ulu-mulu to move to Chapter 5.

The ulu-mulu is a piece of junk that wastes your time but you need to do the quest to get to chapter 5. I had killed all the orcs before I even heard of a thing called ulu-mulu.

but it's funny to get around the orc village without killing anyone. And they are funny to look at... it's the 4 camp in the colony after all! respect them!

A good reason why you should do the ulu-mulu quest is because of the xp.
I personely didn't use the ulu-mulu and killed all the orcs for the xp.

If you want lots of experience you can get it in the orc sleepr temple. There are three switches there where if you press them in the wrong order a lesser demon appears and you can kill him for 600Exp. You can keep doing this forever.

About respecting the orcs, don't forget they are the reason you are in here in the first place and they were the first ones to summon the evil sleeper.

I think you want to say that is the reason why there is a barrier. (i don't remember but it seems to me that the story doesn't tell us why "we-the avatar" are in the barrier... which crime had we committed?)

If there wasn't a barrier there you wouldn't be in it. No matter what crime you did you don't deserve to be put in the barrier.

Teorically, if there wasn't a barrier, the colony wouldn't exist and the mines would be under the control of the king... and we would be simple miners in it!!!!!

We wouldn't be just simple miners. If we can prove our loyalty and strength to the King like we do in the three camps we could join his army. Then we could slay millions and millions of orcs without wasting time trying to destroy the barrier.
