Dungeon Siege Goes Hollywood is the announcement of a 'Dungeon Siege' movie at the official 'Dungeon Siege' website.
Vierte Boll Kino Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co. KG (Boll KG) and Gas Powered Games have joined forces to bring the popular action/fantasy video game Dungeon Siege to the silver screen. Boll KG, the production company responsible for several film adaptations of video games including BloodRayne, Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead, recently purchased the theatrical and merchandise rights for Dungeon Siege.

Executive producer and director Dr. Uwe Boll, expects to begin filming Dungeon Siege in late 2004, and estimates a budget in the $50 million range. Interactive Film Sales International will handle the foreign rights sales for the production (www.InteractiveFilmSales.com). Boll's House of the Dead, released by Artisan Entertainment in North America, is presently screening in more than 1500 theatres.

Um...
Has anyone ever seen any of the other movies described?
Blood Rayne? Etc? Sound false to me.
Nevermind the fact that.... $50 million dollars to make a game for an audience of like far less than a million people who bought the game...? What?
I dont believe this but if anyone can come up with more info Id be interested in it. |

I haven't heard of movies for Blood Rayne or Alone in the Dark, but I have heard of House of the Dead. The trailer for it was really terrible and from what I heard from someone who actually saw it, the movie was even worse. |

I think DS is a perfect movie for HW. It has no plot, no storyline, no real characters, but lots of senseless violence and killing. Isn't that the current formula they use!! Would you really want to see Arx or Gothic made into a film? No, don't answer that, you know what the chances are. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

I see another D&D: the movie in the making. Kudos to them. May the fall and humiliation be great indeed. |
