cant get 1280 x 1024 resolution
   

I'm running Morrowind on a P4 2GHZ with a Geforce 4 card. Although my desktop and other games will run at 1280x1024 res Morrowind won't recognise it (it goes to 1280x960). Any advice please?

Maybe the resolution just cant be chosen.

1280 x 1024 is a non standard ratio. It was the maxium on some montors and cards for so long it just kinda got accepted. With Morrowind they held to the normal ratios 4:3.

The game only defaultly supports resolutions that are of the 4:3 aspect ratio. 1280x1024 isn't one of those. I think you may be able to edit the ini or the registry to run it in any res u want but I haven't tried it...
