I have come to the conclusion that G2 (far-) visibility spoils the realism a bit. The "distant" view just isn't enough for me... I want to see further!
But what settings in Gothic.ini (if any) could I change in order to do that? Turn off radial fog? Something else perhaps?
I am certain that someone must have done this already. Any suggestions?

I think 'marvin' mode with 'zfogzone' is the only way to do that. I heard there's a bug that makes it permanent/furter each time/something it looks nice, but really drags the fps down. _________________ "Never argue with an idiot. can someone tell me whats wrong with my pc?? i have a pentium 4 1.7ghz, 512mb RAM and a 9800pro 128mb graphics card and i have a very low fps when i set draw distance to 300!! im just wondering what do you need to run the game smoothly with 300% draw distance??
and is there a way to improve the performance of your cpu, video card and stuff like that without having to get new ones??
Nothing will help you. The good graphics card canīt save a system with a slow CPU and only 512 MB. You should use the hot keys to adjust the details on the fly.
The only other thing you can do is check the ATI settings in the gothic.ini. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot
