Rapax Castle: 2 Questions

1) There is a locked door next to the swallower's cage in the Castle Zoo. How do I get in?

2) Is there a way to "coax" the key off the Constable? (i.e. without having to resort to pickpocketing or murdering...)

1) Kill one of the zoo creatures, and you will get the key.
2) Not that I've ever heard of.
