New Radeon Drivers for XP

Just to let you guys know, there is some new XP drivers for ATI Radeons. After installing the drivers I noticed a VERY DRAMITIC increase in Morrowing performance. No slowups anywhere. No stutters at all now even though I wasn't having many anyway. Frame rate boost is at least 10-15 FPS with new drivers.
Check out ATI.com for info...

A few questions....

Which driver set were you using prior to installing the new 6071s? If you don't know or cannot tell then when was the last time you updated the drivers?

Which Radeon are you using? 7200 (a.k.a. 64 VIVO)? 7500? 8500?

How much ram is on the card? 64 or 128megs?

Video card aside, what are your system specs?

Radeon 8500 128MB Edition
I was using the 6013 drivers from March 12th.

System Specs:
256MB micron pc133 cas2(generic ram is a killer if you didn't already know!)
WD ATA100 40GB Harddrive
AMD XP 1600
SB Live
Windows XP pro

The rest is irrelevent..

By the way, I was using a Radeon 32MB DDR LE before I upgraded to the 8500. I haven't really seen that much of a boost. Even my old Radeon 7000 ran it just fine for me.

Thanks for the response

I have a feeling ATI is no longer optimizing their drivers for the 7xxx Radeon series. In Rage3D's forums it is usually the 8500 users who enjoy better framerates as the drivers are updated.
