Locked door in the castle

Facing Gomezs lil house...if you go around the the right(follow the trail of ore), there is a ladder down, to what seems to be a celler, but with a locked door..it obviosuly requires a key because i cant picklock it...how do i get the key to open this door?whats behind this door?

You get the key from one of the Ore Barons much later in the game. There's not really that much in there -- except a pretty nice sword (but by that point you already have even better weapons).
