Is it better to use 68 dmg bow (I am master in bow skills) or 110 crossbow (I am untrained in crossbow)?
I know, I can try it, but how are dexterity, weapons parametres and trained skills affecting result?

OK, here's basically how it works:
Your Dexterity rating determines how much damage you do with a bow or crossbow, while your level of training determines how many times you will hit the target, and from what distance.
Your choice here is whether to do more damage with the hits you DO make (crossbow) or to make more hits for less damage (regular bow.) Either way could be successful.
For my part, I always get Bullit's crossbow and use crossbows for the duration. I approach Scorpio late in the game (or middle of game if I'm a guard) for training in crossbow skills.
I just think a crossbow looks cooler, more compact, and more "businesslike" than a regular bow. |

I prefer the bow quicker firing rate and much faster on the "put up" animation if you need that sword out ASAP.

I'm don't think more DX gives a damage bonus, but it does increase your accuracy a great deal. Training improves both accuracy and fire rate. From my experience, given a melee and range weapon of equal damage rating and a character with equal ST+DX, the melee weapon will do far more damage. The only thing going for range weapons, as far as damage is concerned, are critical hits.
As for the original post, the mastery in bows will allow you to do more damage than unskilled crossbow because it gives you both a 30% chance of making a critical hit and a much faster fire rate. |

I am ready for Orcs castle and Sleepers temple. LETS GO...
