Game crashes at startup on file morrowind.csm Please Help!
   

I have installed the game. I run the exe. file and the Bethesda software screen comes up, then the small licencing screen then the game starts to load. When it gets to morrowind.csm it either dumps me back to the desktop, or, if I have pressed any thing to skip to software screen, totally freezes the computer and need to shut down.

Please help me I need to figure this out!

First think you should try is reinstall:

1) uninstall
2) run scandisk (or something similar)
3) defragment your hd
4) install

It seems like corrupted file to me. 2) and 3) are just steps that will make second install safer against errors.
