| Getting back the hammer from the judge |

I gave the hammer to the judge, went to the fugitive, got the evidence and gave it to Lee. How do I get the hammer back to give back to the monastery people or doesn't it matter?
Also, why do the merchants in town hate me and Canthar wants 500 gold to make things right? I don't remember doing anything wrong.
Finally, well I have dragon hunter armor so Onar doesn't consider me a merc anymore, but I can't find any other dragon hunters or get any quests. |

i dont think you get the hammer back but it doesnt matter. the merchants hate you if you sent canther to jail instead of sarah... so when he gets out of jail he is mad and wants the 500 gold

Canthar knows you're a escaped convict and told that to every merchant so they don't want to sell to you anymore. Pay Canthar 500 gold and get some things for Baltram and they will will be able again to sell you stuff.  |

Kill Canthar before you enter the city and that's that, he wont bug you anymore. Although, not an easy task to do at lower levels 
I killed him also in jail once. Went in, summoned loads of them skeletos, these were running arond and clobbering him.. Well, OK, the skeletons killed everyone in every jail cell, incl. Canthar, before Andre and other militiamen saw it and ran in and kicked their butts.. But anyway, Canthar was not a problem after that.
Although his corpse did slide around the town, heh... |
