well seeing as you are only skilled in one handed fighting I would recommend you spend it on that.
and get 2 handed fighting mastered after that

All depends on what kind of weapons you have. If you have some big ticket one-handed weapons, you don't have the strength to use them. But, if you're happy with the weapon that you have then I agree with Jestah and master the one-heaned weapon skill.
I went quite far with the Sword of Fear.

Custom blade is worhtless to you now, two-handed and you don't have the strength to use it.
Bullit of the Old Camp has the Sword of Fear; but you'll have to cram your sword up his arse to get it though. (he doesn't like a sword rammed up his arse, so you'll have to fight him for it) I think I just killed him.

Well if you gonna go after a guard(and get your butt whipped), might as well go for the King of Guards (Scar). He's got THE best 1 handed weapon, and XBow in game.
Drop your ore, save the game, and prepare for a few knockouts

He's one of Gomez' personal bodyguards.. but he's so unpopular that you can whip his ass and no other guards will defend him..

and, that said, as he IS a bodyguard, you will find him in gomez's throne room..

He may be unpopular, but with the power he packs, he dont need friends.
I wacked him about 17 times before he did 1 combo that floored me
*(hehe, if u can smack him before he completes his "Put the weapon down" sentence, he will repeat it again and again until he can finish it once...guess how many times I was able to smack him before he got it out?) then he will drink a potion or two...
anyway, at early stages its a royal pain in the ass to get it from him...and y'know what, once you get it, you're gonna wish you hadnt...Every-thing DIES in 1 shot...depending on your Str, you will be dropping snapper in 1 blow.
At first it was cool to be that young with such a big sword, but then the rest of the game is just like *yawn*...

I did a whole post on this topic...I once got the sword from him at level 9-10 but it took me like an hour due to me barely damaging when I did connect and him constantly knocking me out/ drinking after...and after I got the sword I ripped through my next 15-20 levels in a matter of hours...the struggle of advancing is definitely more fun. But knowing you have the power of Conan's sword by your side lets you walk around the woods a little easier

Oh Big, when you DO knock him down...THATS when the other bodyguard is gonna come get ya. So as soon as you bend down to pick up the sword, you gonna be laying right next to him thanks to Baloro. There was only one way I could figure out how to handle this situation...

hmmm...well i understand what you say about making it all too easy when you have that sword....so i'm just gonna see IF i can defeat him...but i won't keep his sword..i'll just test myself out to see how strong the main character is( WHAT is his real name anyway??? does he have one?)

i have a onehanded sword of fear damage: 41
and 2handed custiodians blade damage : 77

strength is 60
