Yay I finally finished it 5 mins ago. Poor ending but I'm craving for a 2nd gothic
/me tips his hat to PB
Coolest monster death sequence must have been the zombie. Looked really nice.
Most satisfying kill must have been mud
second most must have been when I went back to the old camp and wiped them all out. AWWW YEAH PAYBACK
Most scary moment for me was the first time I went to the orc cemetary and searched the mummies there. It was very dark and I just waited for one of them to come alive while I searched them
Looking back on the time I spent with the game I must say it was the second best rpg game I've ever played. Just amazing. Can't wait till number 2.

So if Gothic was your second favorite what was the first?
Peronally I loved Planescape Torment. It had by far the most interesting story line of any game I've played. (story line a modified version of the novel Pages of Pain?(a must read!))
I very much enjoyed Gothic but I found the story a little weak. Gothic creaters could learn from Torment. |

Have to agree with the best death sequence.. the zombies deaths are great..I've not yet finished the game, but all i need to do is go and do it..have the activated uriziel, the improved ore armor, and am level 32.. just a matter of time, Mr. Sleeper..

Loved Planescape: Torment, too. Gothic's my favorite, though... and my No.2 is (please, don't hurt me): Elder Scrolls:Daggerfall.

Daggerfall was great, other than....
the 2 million bugs
the graphics
It allowed almost TOO MUCH flexibility, and was about as non-linear as you can get |

Two million bugs, yes... I couldn't even finish daggerfall since one of the final scripted events never happened to me, no matter what. I still liked it a LOT.
But then, Gothic at least had some AI problems (like, p.ex., Jackal going catatonic in mid-fight in the New Mine after hitting me with a bolt and Gorn suddenly taking over... it was like a case of possession...). Just Torment didn't play tricks on me .

My favorite RPG was (and you will send me into deepest hell) Diablo II + exp. pack. No deep story, no nonlinearity but...
Ok, my apology to all pure RPG fans.
