Okay this is what happened, sometime during the combat you missed and wacked him. If you were not part of the New Camp, this activates his guard/mercenary sequence. ie if you kill people within his sight the AI registers it as a kill within his camp and he acts like the cop he is. Leave him at the entrance as much as possible. Use him only when necessary then tell him to go away. Leave the area completely and he will not be a problem. Once you completely eliminate the guards and minecrawler warriors. Return and he is nice nice Gorn again. You can tell that he is in his cop sequence when you talk to him he says "hello", the goes right into "Why do you always want to mess with me?" statement. |

Ah, accidental friendly fire. I always wondered why he would sometimes do this. Thanx. |

Accidental friendly fire? I NEVER even touched him. He started to come after me after I got hit by a crossbow bolt; I hadn't touched him or one of my opponents by that time!
But so what, just ignore him. |

Problems crop up latre in the game because the OC NPC flags don't get set to "meanie."
It has nothing to do with friendly fire, it has to do with Gorn being a very upright citizen. If you kill the OC NPCs guarded the gates at the OC, both Milten and Diego say (in an ominous voice), "Someone from the Old Camp has died, and your name has been mentioned in association with their death." Luckily they both seem short sighted and don't notice you clearing the gates, and therefore don't attack you.
Gorn's eyesight; however, is much better and he will attack you if he sees you attacking the OCers, inside or outside he mine.

RIGHT. Just IGNORE that five-foot-long, two-foot-wide axe of his.

Oh, it's possible to just ignore Gorn and his axe if you simply run away and lead him to some other people he can bother (unless you care for them, that is)! |
