Defeated Dagoth Ur, but haven't fulfilled the Prophecy???

I've defeated D.U., but the key players keep telling me I haven't fulfilled the prophecy and that I need to talk to the head honcho at the Temple in Vivec. Well, I've been to see him twice, covered all the possible topics, and nothing changes. So what am I supposed to do?

That's beef number one. The second one is that I am supposed to get all the Redoran Councillors to agree to support overthrowing the mage's guild monopoly. I have talked to all five surviving guild members, and nothing happens again when I return to talk to what's his face - the Guild member whose son I rescued. So again, just what is it I'm supposed to do?

I have been ALL over the place since I killed DU, spent two hours travelling around and have absolutely nothing to show for it. Frankly, I am bored.

Mutter. mutter...game starting to drag a bit......

I managed to kill Dagoth Ur too, without doing all of the main quest. Still don't know how, and I still get weird dialogue from some NPC's. Ignore it.

For the redoran councillors, one of them (the guy Aryon directs you to in the first place) will give you a new dialogue option for all the other councillors. It's called "appeal to fairness" or something like that. You have to trigger this topic for all the councillors again, and when you've talked to the other 4, I think you can go back to Aryon, and complete the quest.

Did all that, but I guess I have to slog my way back to Aryon now. I'm (ahem) starting to find all the trekking around a bit tedious.

I've gotten lazy (maybe just efficient), and started using the coc command. just go coc "gnisis", and you're in gnisis. Whoo. Doesn't affect the game in any way, once you're already high level, just saves time running past all the critters you can beat in one hit anyways.

OK. THanks.

By the way, someone over at the Gameboomers told me you have to walk out of the battle scene with Dagoth Ur instead of teleporting to "end" the game, so I'm going back to try that. I'll report in later.

Yup. That's it - walk out instead of teleporting and you "win" the game. You become the official protector of Vaardenfell and all that stuff. Then you can carry on with world domination or whatever you like.

I'm off to try NWN for a while - then I'm going to reincarnate myself as a mage/thief and play Morrowind again. Next time I'm doing the House quests before the main quest stuff, so I get to see that stronghold of mine growing a bit bigger.
