Yes, the trick is finding..."where" in the cave to do the teleport spell. When you find the right place, Bal will walk to the door and instruct you to telport inside.

upper floor to the left, be sure to pick the lock on the chest...he won't see you cuz his back is turned. Just explore the castle some and you will find him.  |

you have to turn a winch to get in...it's to the left of the big gaping mouth entrance. Beware of the Orc Warrior.  He's a tough one. |

I did that...I just kept trying the chests with "0" lockpicking skill and reloading the game with only 3 lockpicks.
It took a long time, but I eventually did it.
