The new D&D Online Warcry site has interviewed the Turbine team working on Dungeons & Dragons: Online. Here's a clip from the conversation:WarCry: Right now what do the devs consider as the most challenging thing about the development of Dungeons & Dragons Online?
Turbine: By far it’s the fact that we’re developing Dungeons & Dragons Online. We already mentioned our sublime bliss at getting the opportunity in the first place. But precisely because so many of us are hardcore D&D geeks, there was and still is a sense of, “We have to make this the best game ever!” Now that feeling is an absolute requirement to making a great game, but as in any long-term development process there are highs and lows. During the lows, it can be stressful when things aren’t working right. But you know that you have to figure it out, because you’re working with this legendary game; indeed, with the game that set you on your path in the first place. We don’t expect any sympathy, but it is a challenge. |
