They rate it 59/100 and thus "poor". The review of Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring at Gamespy is less than favorable, as you can see from this conclusion: Considering the amount of detail that clearly went into designing the lush landscapes, enormous environments, and character art for this game, it's really a shame that the fun factor seems like less than an afterthought. One can only hope that the next release in this line won't be as clearly rushed to store shelves.
