SS2K is a DirectX8 remake of Looking Glass Software’s 1994 PC game classic System Shock. Note that I said, remake, not port – much of SS2K (like all of the level geometry) will be rebuilt from the ground up. My intent, however, is to make SS2K as close to the original System Shock as the new engine allows. There will be several differences between the original game and the remake, but most will be minor. SS2K will be released as freeware.
