(PC: Single- & Multi-Player RPG) | Posted by Moriendor @ Wednesday - August 01, 2001 - 13:54 - Top | Game Info | Rate this game | Homepage | Screenshots Computer Games Online reports that some Battle.net players with the Diablo 2 expansion pack Lord of Destruction installed have been exploiting a bug recently which allows them to dual-wield weapons when they are not supposed to be able to do that. They link to this post from Blizzard which was posted to the Battle.net forums regarding this issue. Here it is: A number of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction players have been exploiting a loophole that allows non- barbarian characters to improperly dual-wield weapons. Please note that this will no longer be possible once the modifications in the 1.09 patch have been implemented. As a result, one of the two weapons will be deleted from the character's weapon slot if users are still improperly utilizing dual-wielding. Players who do not wish to lose a weapon in this manner are advised to discontinue use of this technique. Additionally, more serious complications can arise when players use this method in an attempt to obtain additional benefit out of a Barbarian's normal dual-wield, and players are often corrupting their character file in the attempt. --- Blizzard Entertainment
