Pirates of the Burning sea Interview at HomeLan

Ho, matey, there is an interview with Flying Labs' game designer Taylor Daynes about their upcoming MMORPG Pirates of the Burning Sea. Included you find some nice screenshots, showing off vessels. Tasty. Here's something about character generation and professions:
HomeLAN - What sort of characters and professions will be available in Pirates of the Burning Sea and how will character generation be handled?

Taylor Daynes - Your actions and attitudes are the most important things that define you as a character in Pirates of the Burning Sea. As you progress through the game, your associations and activities will open up new skills and avenues of adventure, so in that respect Pirates of the Burning Sea could be considered a “skill based” game, but we actually like to think of it more as reputation and personality based.

Right from the get-go, we’re going to support traders, naval officers, politicians, privateers and pirates, but future releases will offer more avenues of gameplay, such as exploration, major crafting abilities (from single swords to entire ships and fortresses) and other surprises!
