A less than lukewarm review of LotR: The Fellowship of the Ring was published at ActionTrip today. Their rating is just 59%, and their conclusion reads like this:
But, if you're the type of person who's not smitten by the mere mention of the Lord of the Rings, and are looking for some genuine gameplay depth, then I guess you won't enjoy some of the slip ups that were made in this game. In terms of game design, I think that the developers got a bit confused on what they wanted to make of this game. Namely, all of the adventure elements such as puzzles and quests are relatively sporadic and are usually overshadowed by sheer action, which is not that addicting to begin with.

One thing's for certain though; if you're crazy about the books and the movies, then I'm pretty sure you'll disregard everything I said and head straight for your local software dealer.
