Scavengers are amongst the first prey you will be after. The youner ones are no problem, even for an inexperienced player. Early in the game, you get some tips how to hunt them, and with a sharp sword, they aren't tough enemies, but be sure to go after them one at a time. Scavengers give meat, and with a special skill, you can get their claws, too.
