The official 'Dungeons & Dragons Online' website has been updated with a new dev diary from Turbine's Pete McDonald. It's about humor in games...
I’ve been thinking about comedy in games. Our first product, Asheron’s Call, is a funny game. It’s chock-full of pop culture references and tongue-in-cheek visual jokes: one of the deadliest monsters in the game is a white bunny (inspired by Monty Python’s Quest for the Holy Grail, of course). Players can get t-shirts that say “My patron went to Aerlinth and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.” Characters can wear bunny slippers, there are Planet of the Apes quests, etc.
