Eschaton integrates several different genres and types of gameplay. It can be played as an online team-oriented space RTS, where you can play in short sessions, joining battles involving anywhere from a handful of players to thousands. These battles could be individual unconnected events, or they could be small parts of a vast ongoing war in a large persistent world with tens of thousands of players. For players who are more interested in the role-playings, they can create and develop a character in an online universe and carve out their destiny. Each player’s choice of career, whether it be miner, explorer, trader, pirate, bounty hunter, or soldier, will lead to a different gameplay experience within the context of a dynamic virtual world.
