Kyrne is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that takes place in a heroic fantasy world like 'Ultima Online'. So hundred of players will be able to play together.
Kyrne is not meant to be a 'Diablo like' game. Although we like Diablo's game, it is not the design goal we are trying to achieve. Instead, you should imagine a world where new players will also seem attractive to old players. In a classic RPG, this would not have been possible.
The game is planned to be a peaceful pace game. Don't misunderstand us, there will be action, but the main focus is that the player feels free and comfortable playing the game with no stress. Real life has enough stress. We will do everything possible to make the game as user-friendly as possible and very easy to get in, so any one can play it.
We decided to break traditional RPG rules so that the race to the power no longer exists. It will be replaced by the search of knowledge. In addition, a strong political system will be implemented and thus, role play will be enlightened.
Gods are also a very important concept because they provide place to resurrect. Players can make allegiance with a god and decide to follow their rules to share the power of the God. The more followers a God has, the more powerful it is.
Another concept in Kyrne is that no one is truly evil or truly good. Player will have to make choices and assumes consequences. That's the way a heros builds it's destiny. |
